Homura socks came in the mail today! 8D Unfortunately, I’m tall, and the socks come up too short.  However, I’m wearing shorts/tights underneath so that it doesn’t look too awkward.

Also, I’m trying to find a light gray knife-pleated skirt.  The black skirt is there just to cover up the rest of the white one xD  I’m most likely going to commission someone in fabric sewing classes to make the shirts, as I might not have time to do it myself |D

Okay so you guys know that Lisa and I wore our Homestuck shirts to see who’d recognize them.  We were expecting at least one in the whole park to acknowledge us, but to our utter surprise, nine total strangers actually stopped what they were doing to come talk to us.  Sure, some others recognized the shirts, but what set the others apart was that they’d seen the shirts as an open invitation to come talk and be friendly.  Not only did that make us feel incredible, but it had also brightened up their day as well.  Fandoms can bring people together in so many amazing ways.  No matter where you come from or what background you may have, your fandom is common ground for you to touch lives with.  Just something to think about~

I got home from church tonight and the TV was on the national geographic channel and the feature is about this Japanese boxer guy and he’s like, a cosplayer so they have a special section about him and his cosplays and they have all these professors on Japanese culture talk about cosplay and it’s psychological effects, saying that it was dangerous and bizarre.

let the guy do his thing.  He’s actually pretty good at cosplaying xD it’s funny, I recognized nearly every outfit they showed him in.

Naruto/Naruko cosplay debut - I was really debating on whether or not to post this here but I’ve not been on dA in several weeks (and facebook is out of the question) so tumblr it is!

Anyway, yeah, that’s me.  Both of em |D

So uhh… I made the jacket but found the pants at a thrift store (I made shoes too, though they’re not seen here 8D).  I also wore very minimal makeup to keep cleanup simple~  I used my sister’s camera to take the photos with the timer feature so the quality isn’t that great haha;; Later, when the weather is better, we’ll have a photoshoot somewhere :D

By the way, Dylan can pull off a pretty good male Sakura ;)
